Simple, yet dramatic. That's what I like to call kintsugi, a Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and gold to make it even more beautiful. Welcome to today's TLC, using torn paper to create kintsugi. I love all things Japanese because I've been there.
Sorry this card is late; once I did the background, I couldn't find exactly what I wanted to embellish. I know I have a kintsugi CS stamp set but I couldn't put my hands on it. Sigh, the joys of moving. but I'm happy with how this turned out. Because of my moving experience, I'm trying to use up things, paper and ephemera mostly. I chose a stash background for this, not sure how I did it other than using a stencil. Thanks for trying out this technique.

This was a fun challenge, Jean, and I had never tried it before. Gold always adds a touch of elegance and the Japanese have shown us a very practical yet beautiful way to restore things that would have otherwise been discarded and un-useable. Even broken pieces are worthy when put together with finer things (like God's love).

I love your bg, mf, and the embellishment you chose at last is perfect. Sending you a MWAH (the first thing) and a hug for a fun Technique Challenge.

Those leaves are beautiful and a wonderful pairing with your background. I haven't had time to check back, I feel I remember you featuring this for a Tickle a Teapot challenge, or else it was Dina for a MIX. Anyway, I'm really glad you featured it this week.
