Kia is issuing a watercolor challenge I believe you will really enjoy. There isn't a tutorial this week. She wants us to use a stamp and watercolor using a technique/s we have learned from WCW.
Now to explain my card. When Kia let the team know what the challenge would be I had just painted a card and thought I could use it. Yay! But, about 45 minutes ago, it dawned on me mine wasn't a stamp but an embossing folder I painted. Too late to do another one. Gee Whiz....lost my mind. Hope this will be o.k. as it was a bit hard to paint but I do love it.
Now, for the techniques, I have learned to control my water. I think that is a problem for a lot of watercolorists. Or, I have tried, at least. My leaves on this painting are all one green but the amount of water I used changed the shading.
Another thing is practice which I don't do enough. I do try to practice leaves...that is a biggie for me holding the brush just the right way.
My card is also for the DTGD challenges. It is Scraperwannabe's challenge. You can join in if you are a Fan Club member. Go here to join: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

You did a great job of coloring a color and letting it show the depth that one single color can have just by the way we load the brush with paint and water.

There is no challenge police here! It's all about creativity and sharing. I love the vivid red of the blossoms and the bright green you chose for your stems and leaves. It really turned out gorgeous.
