Did a little watercolor of Machu Picchu in the Andes of Peru. A dream trip for me. Might be summer in the USA, but it would be winter there and at such a high altitude, it is bound to be very cool. I'm tired of HOT! Of family and friends that have been there, all have been awed.

Beautifully done, Sallie! A dream trip, but another lifetime.
I totally agree with your sentiment about being tired of HOT! To think we're right in the middle of it yet...

My great-niece traveled there a couple of years ago and it was a fabulous trip. Your water color of this destination is lovely, Sallie ~ love the wide framing.

Your artist talents always shine through on your cards - but this one is really spectacular!
Yes we are all tired of the summer heat and hoping for a reprieve soon! Fall will come...

What a superbly done scene! You have really captured the high altitude look of the landscape. My niece has been and it sounds like a wonderful destination though my knees wouldn't agree. :-) Lovely card!
Your painting is totally amazing, Sallie! Though I've never been there, it looks exactly like I've seen on TV. Unfortunately, I missed out on the hiking and climbing gene! I hope your dream comes true!
