Polly is our Teapot hostess and she challenged us to add a corner feature to our card. MaryJo aka Icela52 has requested a card party for her nephew, Henry, who needs some cheer. Henry loves the ocean so my card has a nautical theme that I hope Henry will like.
I adhered strips of patterned paper onto thin paper and then die cut a curvy border. I punched a sailboat and three stars. The sentiment was clear embossed and die cut. I added two small die cut banners behind the sentiment. These elements were all adhered to a white embossed panel. I added a black glittery gem to one of the stars.
Thank you, Polly and MaryJo, for giving us the opportunity to send cheer to Henry.

Rita, You used that ef on white cs for the ocean on another card recently and I thought it was fabulous. I think it's even better on this card. Maybe because you found the absolute best red, white, blue and festive papers to create that wavy panel down the side. I love the stars, the stripes, the dots and those glorious fireworks. And they all come together to create a happy and festive background for that wonderful patriotic sail boat. I think Henry will adore this. Awesome card!

Oh Wow, Rita. Love what you did with that punch. Adding the star to the sail is perfection. Your patriotic theme is wonderful. Great layout! Henry will adore this! Faving!
