The Minnesota Chat 'N Challenge theme for June is "Kids Cards," so here is a birthday card for my friend "Little Bear"--she will be 6yo. Hope she likes lemon cake with chocolate frosting!
Stamped the bear and the balloon onto the sketch paper with Obsidian Amalgam ink. Masked off the bear's right paw and stamped the present. Masked off the whole bear and the balloon and blended in the clouds. Sketched a hill and colored it with colored pencils. Colored the bear & the balloon; the hat was stamped and colored separately and then fussy-cut and adhered to the bear's head. The photo corners were fussy-cut from a scrap in my scrap bin. Stamped the cake, colored it and fussy-cut it out, then added glossy accents to the frosting and glitter gel pens to the candles.
The EF background was leftover from an earlier project.
TFL!

The colored pencils are the PERFECT touch here, bringing so much texture and dimension to this cute scene. Thank you so much for sharing - you're helping me start to feel a bit inspired to perhaps make (or start) a card myself... or just color.
