I decided to take on a reusable challenge by looking through the garage's recycle bin. Unfortunately, the bin had already been emptied earlier in the day, leaving me with limited options. After sifting through some empty boxes, I stumbled upon a plastic cling wrapper leftover from a stamp set. I can't recall the exact name of the technique, but I would spray dylusion spray onto the plastic and press it onto paper, alternating between various dylusion shimmer sprays and distress oxide inks. Each layer was dried before moving on to the next. The dinosaur was originally printed on black cardstock and then mirrored on another black cutout. I positioned him slightly offset to create a 3D shadow effect. The Craft Consortium Metal Textures paper was used for the background, and I added some brown dp behind it. To balance out the intense dinosaur, I added some embellishments to soften the overall tone.
I created the dinosaur by cutting it out of the painted cardstock using a cricut machine. The overall look of the paint job blended perfectly with the rusty look of the paper.
I cant say I expected to make a dinosaur card this morning but I'm glad that I did.
Thank you for looking.

Cool card with your wrinkled plastic wrap bg and 3D dinosaur! I really like how you added the black to the dinosaur to get that shadow effect. FYI-As a new cardmaker you'll probably start seeing things and consider all the uses of random bits and pieces for cards ;)

Just the coolest card, Brian. I really like the dino's shadow. Great background, too.

Polka dots AND grosgrain, love the ribbon. Your DP is super and makes a great backdrop for that fab dinosaur. Shadowing him with black is so effective.
p.s, trying to keep two phones, a power bank and a Kindle charged from one small folding solar panel in mixed weather is not something I would care to do all year round! But it works short-term, and ensures a level of detachment from devices whilst on holiday ;-).
