This card is for Lydia's fun Mix Challenge - Thoroughly Modern Art and to celebrate this week's Featured Stamper, Kay (stampindoe). I looked through Kay's gallery and chose this pretty card to CASE -
When I saw the pretty flowers I knew that's what I wanted to do for my 'modern art'. I went through my bg pieces I have already done and chose this one which I had blended neutral tones of DOs. I inked up the 3 flowers from the SU set in 3 different coloured acrylic ink paints, which I had watered down. Once dry, I added the dots with the white gel pen. I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment, die cut, found this sheer ribbon to place underneath. I raised my 'art' panel up, using dimensionals, onto the card base.
I hope you enjoy your week as the Featured Stamper, Kay and TFL!

I need to have more DOX backgrounds in my box! That one was a lovely choice to add your flowers to, and for me the addition of the sheer ribbon really makes it.
Sue, this is such a great case of Kay's card. I love the beautiful designer paper you used. I especially love the sheer organza ribbon layered behind the sentiment.

Pretty and very artsy background, Sue. Love the ribbon behind the sentiment too - matches exactly. Lovely case/card. Hugz

Well, you certainly created a special bg to help someone celebrate their special day. I love the look and your overall stamping and dotting. It looks like it could be dp and that's not easy to achieve. I bet the textures with the acrylic paint are really wonderful in person. Beautiful CASE and a very beautiful card.
