Nick recently received his long awaited kidney transplant and is home recuperating. Green is the color for kidney awareness so his jungle pals donned their green accessories and threw him a Green Tea Party (pun intended).
So, as is usually the case, this card looked much better in my head and it was going to be a lot easier to make. It wasn't difficult, just time consuming.
I started by stenciling two different sets of leaves in greens on the base panel. Stamped, colored, die or fussy cut the animals and their accessories. After die cutting the tropical leaves, I cut them apart and ink blended with CP greens. I arranged the leaves on a thin strip of cs that I ink blended with light green as well. Organized the party and glued it all down. I did practice making the ribbon and I thought I had mastered the swoop -- until I put my pen on the rhino and my hand went whoop instead. Oh well, that's the hallmark of a handmade card.
I had a peek at the Gallery earlier and I have no doubt Nick will entertained and cheered by all the great cards from you awesome stampers. I think green suits this group. Have a great day. TFL.

What a delightful assortment of animals peeking through the greenery (and especially that toucan!). You put a lot of work into that background but the foliage in the forefront really helps give it great texture and depth!

Such a fun group of party animals! Love your leafy background and those big tropical leaves. Sure to make Nick smile when he receives this cheery group in his mailbox!

You should be very pleased with this card...it's amazing with all those jungle critters on this. I love this idea of having them all peeking out from behind all the green leaves. Well done Debbie.

Debbie, I love your idea of beginning with the stenciled leaf design and then adding the critters and other leaf elements! How nice that your critters decided to dress up in their fancy green accessories just for the occasion! What an outstanding Green Tea Party!!

Ooh, your sponged green tropical leaves look yummy and I love that you kept their normal colors but chose to give them green accessories, lol. So very creative! The jazz colored parrot just pops on your scene!
