I used this week's color challenge colors to make this birthday card. I don't have any card stock in those colors so used a combination of sponging and also ink direct to paper to create my papers.
This is also for today's sketch challenge and also the Alphabet Challenge letter X for X-wing. I have an "antique" x-wing stamped repeatedly on my card. You didn't know they had an antique form did you? LOL This did require carefully stamping that image twice and trying to line the middle of it on top of itself but slightly shifted to get the double "wings."
First, I took Orchid Oasis direct to the paper to create that background panel and then rounded the corners. For the smaller panel, I stamped the image and then lightly sponged the panel with Tahitian Tide. The vertical strip was stamped with a Gorgeous Grunge texture stamp and then sponged with Parakeet Party. This panel is popped up.
I stamped my sentiment in both Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide and then fussy cut using parts of each color and adhering wonky on the card.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

Catherine, your Vintage image is so perfect for the challenge. I salute you for finding something so terrific, and making the colors work in this fab card!!
