For our Teaparty this week, we are sending Birthday cards to Nick, who will celebrate on the 14th! His favorite color is blue, so I am sending him a blue pickup truck with a cake and some balloons for his birthday!
Stamped the cake and balloons on white CS with Onyx Black ink; when it dried, colored them with markers and added gel pen candle flames to the cake. Fussy-cut them out. Stamped the pickup with Onyx Black on blue CS and fussy-cut it out.
Stamped the row of presents stamp with Barely Banana on the yellow CS several times to create a background; stamped the dotted border stamp with More Mustard at the bottom to give the pickup some ground to drive on! Layered the yellow CS onto blue CS and then onto black CS, and adhered to the card front.
Stamped Happy Birthday banner on white CS with Onyx Black; when the ink dried, colored it with markers and fussy-cut it out. Adhered to blue CS and fussy-cut a border. Popped it up on the background with foam tape. Added some black crochet thread to the balloons for strings and attached the ends to the pickup bed. Added the cake. Popped it all up on the card front with foam tape.
I hope Nick has a very Happy Birthday!

This is super, Liz. I love love love your bg with the tone on tone stamping of gifts and I especially love the "road". Cool way to incorporate the blue with that nifty pick-up and how sweet to be delivering a full party in the back. Such a fun card and I'm sure it will get Nick in the mood to party.
