This is for today's F4A-colorful and simple. I figured this painting for Wednesday's WCW would work out well. Leaves continue to be tough for me. I lost count of how many layers I added to make the leaves somewhat passable. They look like palm fronds to me. I also did a little splattering to try to get more depth of color and I also think splattering tricks the eye into seeing something better than what I did. I seem to have trouble getting my mixed up paint dark enough. But I have to say that I love the artist who did the video...she is a hoot and really good at the same time. Brenda, I'm glad you're back...you've had some injuries in the past few years. Yikes! Thanks for the challenges!

I like the splattering on the pretty blooms and your colors are so pretty, too. Yep, I am afraid to take a step now since I have had the last mishap.

Striking with all the beautiful translucent petals. Like the colors and how you managed to keep them clean. Great job. Another beauty for the gallery. TFS

such pretty colors Jean. usually if I want my colors a little darker I just use less water. so thicker paint tends to dry darker for me. I love the translucent quality to your petal layers
