I looked up pocket card on Pinterest to get ideas. I quickly found a link to instructions for this double pocket fold, made from an 8.5 x 11 sheet of double sided dsp. Credit to Judy Rozema Joy In A Jar blog. This was highlighted on SCS years ago, so might also be here in the tutorials somewhere. I did not look there.
The dsp I used was 12 x 12, a retired SU quilted theme piece. I cut it to 8.5 x 11, followed the instructions for folding, used a tear-n-tape type product from Dollar Tree to close up any gaps. Then I used a portion of the leftover piece to make a tag-type insert, layered against coordinating cardstock. The ribbon is what is holding those two layers together, allowing it to be opened, so I may write my message on the inside hidden panel. The second pocket will be used for me to insert payment to the recipient. The dies are from a Tim Holtz set, the ribbon from my scrap bin.
This card will be perfect to use for the lady who does my long arm quilting, or for a quilting friend to whom I owe a debt. I will probably make another, as I can really use two cards like this in the very near future. Super easy, quick card!
