I saved these roses from the bin because they were in the maybe I can fix pile. I painted them up this weekend and did not like them, as they were too light and sort of boring. On Tuesday, I added in some purple on the flowers and the dots to maybe work for the color challenge, but I added too many dots and tried to tone them down with a black shadow but didn't like it too much. I then sponged the yellow on the background and really hated it. Today, I thought I would try and save it one more time by putting in a border so I did a faux sewing line and messed it up in a few places with smudges. When I tried to cover them with corners, I messed up the base and had to do faux sewing on the outside too. I decided to just go with it at that point - there comes a time when you have invested so much in a card you just have to send it even though you don't love it.
Thanks for the brave push Sabrina!

Love it, Nancy. The stitching is great inside and out. Beautiful image...no way this needed to have gone to the bin. Great save and the recipient will love it. Oh, and I love the dots. They remind me of pointillism

I have to say I have made cards in the past that I just going forward with then put them in my box of cards and I did not care for them but when my family members come over they fall in love with those cards. I really think you did great work saving this one even with the many attempts and challenges. I honestly think it came out great and you should step back and look at it again with eyes of not looking at the challenges.

Sorry you didn't like the outcome but I just love it, you just need fresh eyes of someone that doesn't see what you were wanting it to turn out looking like. Your few sewing is so neat with it too!

I don't see anything wrong, if you hadn't told about your miss likes and mistakes, I wouldn't have noticed it, I like this card and I'm glad you'll send it!!
