I did not have some of the items our 'teacher' used, so I made do with brushes & did the best I could. In place of the old credit card, I used a new flat brush, you know how stiff they are! I also added some shimmer w/c paints. A friend sent my hubby a really neat fishing vase of flowers & a rose to me. He had vascular surgery the first of the month & is home now continuing his recovery. I guess you can take the nurse out of the hospital but you can't take the nurse out of the retired nurse!! Daily dressing changes fall to me!! Really not a big deal. Anyway, this goes to our friend.
Thanks Angie, this was kinda fun to do.
Thanks for stopping by.

Good job with the abstract painting, Karen. I do see some gold shimmer. Those flat brushes are good to have...love mine. So glad hubby is one the mend. Once a nurse, always a nurse, right?

Awww, well, speedy recovery wishes to your husband and an extra hug for the nurse! What a sweet friend to remember you as well, with a flower! I love how your abstract turned out! I like the idea of using a brush for the abstract. I wasn't sure I loved the hard edges of the credit card. Your friend will love your painted thank you!
