This week's featured stamper, Janine (aka JayBee), has an extensive Gallery filled with beautiful art. Her styles are vast and various and she encompasses a broad range of techniques. Does that make her a free-range stamper? Whatever label she is, the most accurate is "one fabulous crafter".
Watercolor stamping was one of the first techniques I learned when I began stamping and I have a fairly good collection of the Penny Black brushstroke stamps. So when I saw this beauty by Janine, I was inspired to drag out my collection: TLC930_CAS721 by Jay_Bee at Splitcoaststampers
I even have the same stamp and tried to match her colors as closely as I could. Since I had the stamps out and this is a fairly quick technique, I decided to do a set of four for this month's Cards for a Cause, which is the Covenant House in Alaska. The poppies are starting to bloom here in California so I chose those colors for one of the cards and then used two different stamps for a bit of variety. I kept Janine's large floral image; black sentiment; and simple white framing but added borders on two.
Congratulations Janine on a well-deserved selection as Featured Stamper. I know you will inspire some gorgeous cards this week and I hope you enjoy all the ones made in your honor. And, I hope everyone is feeling inspired today. TFL

This is an amazing set of cards - I wouldn't have been able to stop at just one, either! That technique is an oldie but goodie that gives stunning results (as you have clearly shown!)

Thank you so much for the reminder of this amazing technique. I haven't tried it in so long most of my Marvy brush markers are dried up. :-) Your set of cards to honour Janine are fabulous!
