For today's IC Running with Sisters - I was inspired by a sample Julie listed - the top row - 4th over from left Bird Art (I couldn't find it on their Pinterest board.)
I've been saving little strips of DP from projects that I've made to use for something like this - so today's the day to get them out!
I covered a panel of card stock with Peel and Stick - double sided adhesive sheets - and laid the strips over the adhesive. Then I just die cut the bird out of the panel.
The bird is an older BIGZ die from Tim Holtz called Bird Silhouette. He is BIG so this card is 5x5.
I just love how this came out! All I added was a black pearl eye. The bird is up on foam dots. The sentiment is from Backyard Bird Friends - by Ellen Hutson.
Now I have to save more strips so I can make more birds!
thanks for the inspiration today Julie.
It was -6 degrees F last night here in MA with strong winds and this am it has warmed up to 0 so far - I'm going back into my craft room where it's snug and warm!

Love your scrappy bird. Awesome. When I got up at 4 AM it was -11. Temp in the house was 63, heater going full blast all night. Up to 66 now. That'll teach us to have this big house!! Feels much warmer, though we are each wearing a sweater. We are hunkered down, having home-made chili for supper. Stay warm!

I love anything birds, and that die blows me away! I have never seen it before - but I do love how you have design with it. Beautifully done as always Julia.
Very cool card, Julia! I love the neat bird and pattern strips you brought together! Your photo set up is pretty cool, too! Love the little stool and ID card!
