This card is for both today's sketch challenge and also today's Alphabet Challenge J is for Jacks.
I followed the steps in this tutorial: Smoosh Resist Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers to create the background for this card. In the background, on the lower portion, you can see my abstract jacks waiting to be picked up. Starting at the top left, there are multiple round images that represent my ball bouncing down though you can't see several of them.
I decided to heat emboss my floral image three times on three different colors of red card stock using a template so that the rose would be in the same place each time, then I cut it into thirds and added a strip of each color to an acetate circle popping it up with foam tape giving it a floating look. I chose shades of red because most of the jacks games that I recall had red balls as part of the game.
A heat embossed sentiment, a touch of gold mirror, and some sequins completed the card.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

I do love the RED shades, and the wonderful bg representing the game of Jacks. My mother was the school champ, and taught me to play. I used to love it!!
