Diane is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a chance to make another Valentine's card--at least that's what I saw in these colors. The colors are Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake. The dessert option is to use our favorite embellishment.
Each morning leading up to Christmas last month, I enjoyed opening a small gift from my Advent Calendar from Taylored Expressions. I used a small stamp set and a die set from the calendar to make this card. I stamped the stems and leaves in black ink, then colored the leaves with a Zig marker. I also used a Zig marker to watercolor the ground. I cut some hearts from Poppy Parade cardstock and glued them to the tops of the stems. Added a bit of linen twine and a Coastal Cabana mat and adhered this panel to a Poppy Parade base card with foam tape. Added my favorite embellishment for dessert, which, unfortunately, you can't see: Nuvo glitter gloss on each heart. They really sparkle.
This card will be opened just south of the Arctic Circle on Valentine's Day!
Diane has given us such a pretty color combo; please play along with us and post your creation in the gallery for us all to enjoy!
