Thanks, Kia, for choosing an easy and relaxing painting technique.
After the paint dried, I'm pretty sure I had too much water down on the paper. As a result, my colors are very pale. Usually Kuretake paints remain vibrant no matter what, but not this time! It's a little hard to see the "snowflakes" in the photo. If I would have gone in with a second coat of paint, they probably would have been more pronounced.
Today's takeaways: Use a little less water, add add a second coat of paint if needed, scoop embossing powder with a metal spoon (curious to see if this makes any difference).
I hope you enjoy my card!

This is great and I love your tinsel embossing powder. I know too much water is or has been a problem for all of us at one time or another. It is just something we all have to learn when trying to get just the right amount. You created a very pretty Christmas card.

It is lovely with the softer colors. You sure can tell you were a teacher, and how you take away what you learned from a challenge. Thanks for joining us.

This is one of the fun things about watercolor - we all see the same tutorial but there are still so many variables that make each painting unique. This makes a super card for next years Christmas stash! The soft wash cuddles your die cut sentiment like a blanket.
