What a wonderful way to start the new year browsing through this week's Featured Stamper's, **Carol**, wonderful Gallery. If you like fun, folds you definitely need to check it out.
I just HAD to buy this TH sweater stencil ages ago and it has just sat there unused...until today. Because Carol's fabulous and creative card urged me to finally ink it up: Nordic Sweater Chickadee by **Carol** at Splitcoaststampers. I kept here overall theme of nordic knit, tree and birds; but changed the colors and used stencils and die cuts instead of stamps.
Unfortunately for me (because I don't know how to stretch stencils yet), this stencil is narrow so I didn't want to stamp directly onto it, hence all the die cuts. I wanted a "wintry" feel so I pulled out a grayish blue ink and added the glitter paper for a bit more "wintry" feel. The ink is bluer in IRL, though. Not thrilled with my shading on the trees. I definitely need to practice that some. For now, I will just say it's "artsy". LOL.
Congratulations Carol on being selected Featured Stamper this week. I hope you enjoy all the cards your beautiful Gallery has inspired. And, I hope everyone is snug and warm in your favorite sweater. Yes, it's 60 degrees in So Cal right now; but trust me -- we're freezing. TFL.

Beautiful case, Debbie. Your shading on the tree is lovely. Wonderful stenciling. Good for you using the stencil and creating such a wonderful card. Love those little blue birds. The sparkle is a nice touch. Well done. Happy New Year!

This is so cool, Debbie. I love that stencil and the tree is perfect - including the shading. I love you have little birds instead of one large one too. This is an icy beauty for sure. Hugz
