Bare feet are the go here at the moment. Even too hot for Thongs - yes that is what we call them - not flip flops.
Summer has arrived at Christmas with a few very hot days over the past week. Time to put the thongs on and head to the beach with a cool drink.
Stamped and embossed the images and coloured them with water colour pencils. Die cut using Uniquely Creative stitched dies. Framed them with a water colour die cut. Added some shimmer and sparkle to the images with gel glitter pens and Wink of Stella.
Hope you enjoy.

I also grew up calling them thongs. I've only recently started wearing them as I disliked something between my toes. My cousins called them zoreez, don't know where that came from. Anyway, your card is delightful.

Called them thongs here too. It was an early summer rite of passage to develop blisters in between your toes until you got used to wearing them. Love seeing this bright splash of summery colour in the gallery this morning. It's so dull here at the moment. Beautiful card Helen!

I have been getting beachy pics (with thong clad feet) from my friends who have spent the past 2 months in Australia. This is a totally fun card with the summer colors and sunny laid back vacation feel. I'll happily take a mai tai and a beach chair . . . .

Well, I'm ready to book a flight to Australia now. As others have said, some people used to call them thongs or zories when I was a kid, but flipflop seems to be the term that won out.

Bare feet is my favourite, flip flops are next best though I don't think I'll be as stupid as to climb a mountain in then again, I'll be sensible and wear his sandals. (I was fine, not a problem, but twice after that I had one break on level ground and only one of those times did I have spare shoes in my bag to change into). I like the sort of tic tac toe layout and different summer beach motifs.

Helen definitely bare feet weather at present although at the beach the other day we had to run quickly to the water lol. I grew up calling them flipflops and now thongs. Wouldn’t be without them. Love your Aussie themed card. Mine’s a mojito. Happy New Year and hugs
