I popped up my watercolored birthday cake on this recipe card. I have a crafting retreat this weekend and one our traditions is to bring decorated recipe cards for everyone with one of our favorite recipes.
I hadn't put anything together yet (often I make them at the retreat - lol) so I was happy to get this motivation, Lisa. Thanks!
PS - thanks for pointing out I left out the flour - I am redoing this one right away! Sure glad I posted this before giving it away!!!! It is 3 cups of flour. I also got a question on the sugar part of the recipe. You can use 1 cup for less sweet and 2 cups for sweeter cake. I got this recipe from a friend who adjusts all her recipes to be a bit healthier - she uses 1 cup of sugar and the applesauce instead of oil. She freezes half of it so she doesn't eat the whole cake too. She calls this her treat cake.

Great idea for a get together and a card. Just curious, though…there is no flour listed in the ingredients but clearly in the directions…hmmm. I’m gluten free so I always look for the flour type.

Yum, thanks for giving us the recipe, also. Have a great time at the retreat.
