Karen gave us some lovely colors to play with this week and an interesting dessert option. I made a sympathy card on Monday for my classmate who just lost her mom. Her mom was my mom's classmate and she asked for a card to send as well. I used SC260 for the sketch and I tried to dye some ribbon with ink for dessert. It was going to be a beautiful green, but it didn't quite take. So I gave it a little twist for some interest.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I grew up in a small town where my family and other families have lived for generations. It's amazing how close you become to those people because of that, it's like extended family. Anyway, your card is a beauty, I love the centers of the flowers, they make the whole design POP! TFS

Beautiful. Love how the bright flowers are peeking about of the envelope. I like how you used the same stamp to create the background, too. Terrific use of the challenge colors. The little twist in the ribbon is a nice touch. So sorry for your family's loss. Lovely card to send.
