This is the LAST ONE of my Christmas cards for this year. WooHoo! I made 33 of these Christmas 2022 by askloeblen at Splitcoaststampers other cards throughout the year to send to friends and relatives. Now I've just finished a few more individual ones.
As soon as I first saw this stamp and die set from The Greetery, I thought of wassail... singing the wassail carols at Christmas and drinking wassail, hence this card.
All Inks: Archival Ink--Vermillion; Distress Inks--Old Paper & Antique Linen; StazOn--Dove Gray & Forest Green; SU Creamy Caramel, Close To Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede, Shaded Spruce, Mossy Meadow, Groovy Guava, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz, Merry Merlot, Early Espresso.
Computer-generate free printable version of Christmas carol sheet music. Resize it to fit card front; tear edges; crumple paper & smooth out; use Distress Inks to age the sheet music panel. Set aside.
Around edges of 5" x 6.5" cream card base stamp greenery using StazOn Forest Green, SU Shaded Spruce, and SU Mossy Meadow inks. Stamp berries around edges in SU Merry Merlot and Early Espresso inks. Adhere music panel to card front at an angle; trim off excess. Set card base aside.
Stamp cup outline image using StazOn Dove Gray ink on white scrap. Stamp 3 different color layers to create drink: SU Creamy Caramel, Close To Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip inks. Stamp cinnamon stick in 2 steps using SU Cinnamon Cider & Soft Suede inks on white scrap. Die cut cinnamon stick and cup. Set aside.
Stamp apple slices using SU Pear Pizazz and Archival Vermillion inks on white scraps. Die cut. Use colored pencils to color the flesh (cream) & create seeds (brown) for the apple slices. Set aside.
Stamp orange slices in 2 steps using SU Groovy Guava and Crumb Cake inks on white scraps. Die cut. Set aside.
Stamp berry clusters in 2 steps using SU Merry Merlot and Early Espresso inks. Die cut. Set aside.
Stamp greenery using StazOn Forest Green, SU Shaded Spruce, and SU Mossy Meadow inks on white scraps. Die cut. Set aside.
Stamp sentiment on white scrap in SU Early Espresso ink; die cut using stitched circle die. Stamp "Wishing you..." in SU Early Espresso ink on SU Soft Succulent scrap; die cut using dotted label die. Set aside.
Assemble drink with fruit, cinnamon stick, and greenery. Adhere components to card front.
Adhere "Wishing you..." label to circle sentiment die cut. Adhere sentiments to card front using dimensional foam tape. Surround with die cuts--one apple slice, one berry cluster, and one orange slice. Adhere another apple slice to the lower right corner of the card front. Adhere another orange slice under the edge of the sheet music panel at the top left of the card.
Stamp two 2-step orange slices and one 2-step berry on the sheet music panel along with one greenery branch. Stamp splatters (sprinkles for the whipped cream part of the stamp set) randomly using StazOn Dove Gray ink on sheet music panel. TFL!

Yes, I think you are making us all want Wassail. When should we come? The card is very pretty, great design and warm colors. The music BG is just what makes us sing and all the fruit and the mug is wonderful. I can almost taste my serving of Wassail now.
