This is my card for CC915. Chris is our hostess and she chose soft suede, pear pizzazz and pale papaya for her color trio. Dessert option this week is to use lighter or darker shades of those colors.
I took Chris up on the dessert option this week and used darker shades of the colors to create my Halloween card. For the pale papaya, I used pumpkin pie, for the pear pizzazz I used old olive and mossy meadow and for soft suede I used choc chip and a metallic brown cardstock (cat's bowtie). Also, to get a darker shade of the soft suede I sponged the soft suede sleeve of the gnome with ss ink.
My layout is this week's Paper Player #610 sketch. My dies are from the new Halloween release by CottageCutz.
I stenciled my background image panel with carved pumpkin distress ink and a Tim Holtz stencil.
The sentiments are stamps from Sweet Pea Designs and MFT. I finished off my card with a few pale papaya gems.

What a fun Halloween card, Mary! I love all the adorable creatures on your card--oh, so many, many little pieces to assemble--especially the big eyes staring out from the tree trunk. As always the Cottage Cutz figures have the cutest expressions!

So cute! Love this little scene with the sleeping gnome and the critters. Great job with the challenge colors and the dessert option. Looks fantastic! The stenciled stars are a nice touch. Fabulous card.

What a super scene! I love all the eyes especially the pair in the tree. Your background paper and stencilled stars pull the whole scene together well.

Oh, this is just adorable in SO many ways! Though your shading and die cuts are always done to perfection, I especially like the way that softly stenciled background adds a bit of character that's just perfect for this sleepy gnome. And my stars, those STARS! Fun and beautiful in shades of orange.

Oh Mary, this is a wonderful Halloween card! All the details are so amazing, I don't even know where to start! I'll just sum it up that I love the gnome, spider, cat and owl; but those googly eyes take the cake!

Mary your Halloween scene is amazing! I love the way you built your sweet little scene with diecuts and stencilled stars, all framed in that lovely subtle patterned paper too. Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
