One of my favorite ways to use vellum is to stamp and emboss a sentiment on it. It's easy to attach by folding on the sides and taping on the back. I got out some old and seldom used supplies on this...decorative scissors, some dp I got from a magazine, and the stamp which is a Dina Kowal design.

Oooooh, a butterfly tree. What a fabulous image and fabulously colored as well. I love all the various shades and hues you used to paint those lovelies. Great bg dp to show it off too. I am so impressed that you used deckled scissors -- I love deckled edged but I could NEVER cut straight with them so the best I could do was only one edge and then straighten it all out on a paper cutter on the other side. LOL. Not nearly as lovely as your vellum strip. Topped off with that lovely sentiment. Awesome card, Polly, and I am sure Hildie will love it.

Beautiful card. Love those perfectly coloured butterflies and your vellum strip. Debbie and I have the same issue with our deckled scissors. I eventually got rid of all my "edgy" scissors. Now I wonder if that was a bit premature.

I agree about embossing a sentiment for vellum .... it always looks wonderful! Love your deckled edges!
