SC923 = I used the sketch more to be the bg and add textures to the grouping of gourds. I only have hexagon dies, so I used those.
I first lightly traced the various sizes of hexagons onto the watercolor paper. Next came the "get your brain gears in motion" part. I had to think "backward" and cut the topmost pieces out first, working my way to the backmost hexagon. When they were all cut, I reassembled the main panel and pieces on a piece of Press'n'Seal. Then I sketched and watercolored the gourds. When dry, removed the Press'n'Seal and glued the panel to the bg framing. Much more work than just painting the grouping, but the hexagons add another layer of interest.

Ooh, love this beauty, Sallie. This such a great design with the hexagons. I agree, you did some very creative thinking with this one. I have been thinking about pointillism recently and thought I would like to do some again. Your pumpkin/gourd on the right brought it to mind a bit. I LOVE your card.

Sallie, what a beautiful Fall card. So creative, putting all the pieces together.

Wow, Sallie, this is truly amazing!! Very clever way to use the sketch challenge and your water coloring always catches my eye because you do it so well!
