The octagons for the sketch challenge today were made using an envelope liner with a green pattern that I liked. I saved it thinking it would look nice on a card. I used a black Zig marker on each edge. The background was made rubbing ink on my embossing folder before running the cardstock through the machine.

I thought those inked edges were die cut frames they are so even! Your embossed background looks perfect with the interesting net-like pattern of the octagons. Lovely balanced design with the bird and branches. Super card!

Wonderful envelope recycle...made a wonderful pattern for your octagons. GREAT texture with your inked embossing folder background. Love your finishing elements of leaves, the bird and great sentiment.
