Thank you, Polly, for the very interesting challenge. I chose a favorite SCS artist, Anita aka Snietje, who has mastered so many wonderful techniques that inspire me. I especially love this emboss resist card:
On watercolor paper I stamped several leaves and branches in Versamark and embossed with white. With various green die inks I water colored each image. Once the panel was dry, I added inks to the background with a blending brush. I diecut two birdcages and stacked them. The birds were stamped, colored with Copics and die cut and adhered behind the cage. I stamped the sentiment on a diecut tag and added a linen thread bow to match the linen thread I had placed around the main panel. The card base is River Rock CS.

What a fab card honoring Anita. I, too, admire her cards with all the different techniques. I love the various colors of green on this and those sweet birds.

What a cool card to honour Anita. I always love your background stamping and this looks wonderful in the emboss resist with all those different but gorgeous greens. I have been thinking of making a birdcage card and so it is fun to see yours with that sweet little tag!
