for today's IC Stacy has us looking at Peanuts World Wide - lots of Memes of Peanuts Gang.
I was inspired by this one of Snoopy with a pile of fallen leaves.
I just purchased this double stencil set from PTI called Fallen Leaves and was happy to get it out and play with it.
On the leaf stencil I sponged on Fossilized Amber first, then a bit of Candied Apple and then a bit of Forest moss. Then I laid the stem stencil over the leaves and sponged with Forest Moss.
I splattered the white background with both a black and orange POSCA pen to tone down the stark white!
I die cut the little acorn with a Side Kick Set called Autumn which I've had for years and never used, it also has a layered pumpkin and layered leaf which I'll be sure to use on my fall cards now that I finally got them out!
The sentiment and strip are from Taylored Expressions.
I hadn't been thinking of fall yet, just trying to get through this horribly hot summer - but now I am!

I had to smile about toning down the stark white. I have sponged quite often for that same purpose. Sweet leaves, especially with the little splattering! The acorn is a fun addition~
