Love and learn....I like that so much. What a great video and artist, very enjoyable. I would love to do more of her videos.
So what do I love? I love the stars, the dark and light and especially that little shooting star. What did I learn? I need to get darker, I need more light in the center and I learned to scumble (is that how to spell it?) or is it skumble??
I was bound and determined to use the painting for yesterday's SC, even though I didn't do a little painting for that centerpiece. I cut a frame, layered over vellum so some of the painting might come through and used some dies to go with the stars. This would make a lovely winter card, I think. Thanks bunches for the challenges. Too bad the WT didn't fit today, although maybe I could have put a little vehicle way at the bottom, like it's climbing a mountain. Never mind.

You are right, this makes a beautiful winter card. I love yours and you did such a good job. I think it is scumble. Your panel with the stars and sentiment is so pretty, too. I do love the dark and light together.

I HAD to look at this one! My DD Susan went all though school with her best friend, Starshine. Yes, that is her name. Beautiful card, love it.
(I would've commented anyway because I really like this)

LOVELY, Jean! Your watercoloring is fabulous and l love how you incorporated it into the sketch. The framed vellum panel with its die-cut stars and moon + the sentiment and dotted star add such a lovely look to the overall effect! Love the pewter with the navy!

So lovely and I love hearing your own observations about painting. It does get better the more you paint. I love the final card you created, using vellum to let that painting shine through.

Jean - that slimline painting turned out great and makes such a serene background for those awesome die cuts - love the vellum to add even more softness.
