Color Challenge - CC907 - A Basic Pink Cabana - August 2, 2022
I missed reading the part about the dessert option being birds for this challenge, and my use of a mermaid stamp is about as far opposite as one can get from birds!
These are the closest colors I have, which match pretty well. I love this combination!
For my card, I used the hills die twice on both colors of cardstock. For the black piece, I cut away the interior hills so I was left with just a frame to lay on top of the bluish background piece. These are supposed to be hills, but I am using them as waves. I used a marker along the top rim of each row of curves for some extra highlight. These curved rows are already cut so that items can be inserted into them. This really makes the mermaid tails look like they are underwater, with just the tops above water.
I colored the tails with two coordinating colors of pink and the v-shaped ends are raised up on foam while the rest of the tails are flat. I added the sentiment and the fish to fill in some open space.

Fantastic idea for the challenge colors. Love how the mermaid tails are coming up through the "waves". Excellent sentiment. What a fun and striking card. Love it.

Wonderful card! Your colors are perfect, and I love the way you tucked the tails in behind the waves. The dessert option is always optional, so you're good! Love the greeting, too!

I love love love this! Those mermaid tails really pop against the blue water. The black frame balances it all perfectly and I love the way the tail comes outside the frame. So fabulous!!
