This week the Teapotter's are sending paper hugs and bright colors to 11 year old Lillee who is preparing for treatment for a brain tumor.
I used one of my most favorite Mo's images. I think she is just the cutest fairy ever. I knew I wanted to make her "wobble", so i glued the cs with the colored image to a piece of acetate before I fussy cut the image. I'm hoping that will protect those small bits like the hair and shoe laces when she wobbles.
For the bg, I was again inspired by Peeps321's (aka Polly) and her sweet card this week: DTGD22LuvLee MMTPT For Lillee by peeps321 at Splitcoaststampers. I thought her bokeh bg might look as magical on my card as it did on hers. I ink blended bristol cs and then used a mask and baby wipe for the bokeh circles. I then lightly added the whirlpool stencil hoping it would look like she was casting a spell. I haven't gotten overstamped ink on my stuff since I started using the Misti -- until today! Ugh! I didn't want a rhinestone or sequin to interfere with the wobble action, so hearts to the rescue. Whew!
I can't imagine how difficult this condition must be for Lillee and her family. I do hope the fabulous cards from you fabulous Teapotters will add a bit of fun, light and joy to their day. I hope you all find a bit of fun, light and joy in your life today. TFL

How clever! I would not ever have thought to use acetate to protect the image but that is truly inspirational! This is absolutely too cute for words! I can see why it is your favorite image!

I love how her feet are turned inward and I love this pink and purple combination too, Debbie! Speaking of fun, a wobble is always a fun thing to play with on a card! This is simply Adorable! Well done~

Beautiful and adorable! Love how you did the amazing BG and the whirlpool stencil does look like "casting a spell". Clever! The color/shading on the adorable girl is awesome...

The swirl added over the bokeh is really truly magical looking. And what a smart idea to use acetate to stiffen your fairy - I'm sure that will keep her safe in action.

Magical is right! Debbie this is precious. I am realizing I get too carried away with my cards. I tend to treat it like a canvas. No owonder it takes days to complete. I love your style! I could learn a lot from you. I need to learn to use inks in different ways. You are quite talented at that.(my heart broke to hear of this little child and her loved ones going through so much)
