This week I chose a video by Joann Boon Thomas. In it she does various techniques.
I downloaded the free butterfly file, printed and then traced with the light box. The two techniques that stood out for me was the way she took away the paint from the butterflies with the paper towel and how she took the two colors to make the shadow color. I added a few dots with a stencil and paint, and splattered white paint. Added some doodling with a fine micron pen. Added sentiment. TFL and I hope you come and play with us this week. You could do flowers, balloons, etc.

I love the intensity of your darkest shadows. For me it was hard to keep from continuing to add water and totally washing them away instead of just "softening" them. The stenciled dots add a whimsical touch.

I love the dots you added to this, Linda, and I love the way your butterflies look like they are floating on pillows! Beautiful depth and lovely colors~
