This card is for 2 challenges. I really wanted to try one of the chalk techniques Sabrina suggested. I chose the marbled paper with chalk, on glossy c/s, and am very happy with the result. The chalks I used are pearlescent. Marilyn's MIX Challenge today asked for tulips on our cards. I coloured the digi image with copics, fussy cut and adhered to the marbled paper bg. Added a tiny bit of stickles to the centre of the open flower. Added the punched butterfly - this was punched from another piece of marbled paper with chalk and has a lovely pearlescent look to it. A few pearls and the die cut sentiment, cut twice with the bottom layer in white c/s.

You and Sandie between you have made me determined to give this a try later today. Perfect for helping you along to mixed media too. I bet the pearlescent chalks look gorgeous.

This is just great, so perfect for both challenges. I just got home from my trip yesterday and an hour later, I was making backgrounds with her technique video. I will be back, it was great fun.
