I've never tried the Pastel Stencil Press Technique, so it was worth trying today. I like the background that I got, but I feel like I could have gotten the same look with a lot less mess if I had just used Distress Oxides. I don't have any pan pastels, so I scraped a chalk pastel over the paper. It was neat to watch it stick to the Versa Mark, but I'm still nervous it's going to smudge. When I die cut the panel, I put another piece of cardstock over it and got a light print. Anyway, it was a good background for this fun gal that I had stamped and cut out from a card last week.

Great image, so fun and happy.
I guess I usually use several different colours of chalk and get a result it would be hard to replicate with inks. Thanks for trying it!
