This card was made for Tuesday Morning Sketches #658 ( http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogsp...tches-658.html ). I was gifted some Stampin' Up! (SU) Designer Series Paper (DSP) called "Berry Delightful" from a friend, and hadn't used the matching "Berry Blessings" stamp set or the pattern paper, so thought it was time I did a card with them. The challenge sketch somehow spoke to me of berry clusters :-)
The card base is SU Garden Green, and the mat is Basic White. I die cut the label using a Spellbinders die, then ran the die and paper back through the Big Shot with a rubber mat underneath to impress the label edges on the cut for added dimension. I stamped the birthday sentiment on the label using SU Blue Bayou ink. The sentiment is from the SU "Friendly Hello" stamp set.
The blue berries were stamped using the two-step stamps where the round shaded area of the three sized berries is stamped first, then the stem and outline image is aligned and stamped next. I used my Stamparatus stamp positioner to accomplish this.
The berries were then scanned into my ScanNCut and cut out without any order around them. I also cut out a set of blank berry shapes on the ScanNCut and then glued one behind four of the larger berries for added depth. These were then glued individually to the corners of the die cut label in a stacked manner per the sketch.
A dark blue ribbon was glued to the back of the label to "dress it up" a bit.
I am rating the difficulty level for this card as a "2" out of a possible "5". If you don't have a ScanNCut to do digital scanning and cutting, you could easily fussy cut the berries out by hand since they are simple shapes.
