Karen was such a dear friend, an extremely talented stamper, and outstanding encourager. She was such a blessing to many. I had a hard time selecting one of Karen's beautiful creations to case so I made two. This is the first one inspired by this beauty: MIX376; WT787 Cottage Blooms by Art Deco Diva at Splitcoaststampers
I basically followed her layout but changed the colors and used different stamps. I also used a different embossing folder. I did ink the embossing folder before embossing it for some tone on tone color.
For my focal panel, I started with wrinkle free distress adding some Balmy Blue ink to the center of the panel. Then I stamped the "flowers" and added the Swirly Bird leaves.
I stamped the sentiment with black ink and heat embossed it.
Praying the tea party blesses Mark. Thank you.

Beautiful card. I love the stamp you used for the flowers and the colors.

Outstanding encourager, that's a great description of her. While I think the other card is so elegant and classy, the light summery feel of this really appeals to me. I'd wear a summer dress in a print like that. And I do believe those flowers are Work of Art, brilliantly done. Favourited
