I thought it was funny to put Son instead of his name, to give it that store-bought vibe. Same with the formal-looking floral motif. But as soon as you pull the edges, a monkey in a fez pops up. I was so excited when it worked!
I used three types of die-cut bluebonnets, as Recipient was born when they are blooming here in central Texas. I stretched the one on the left too far in Design Space, trying to fit it in the narrow side panel. A bluebonnet from outer space? Another lesson learned.

Pricilla - I am afraid that if it is new to you, then I made it wrong! (I just saw your amazing gallery.) I do not know where I found the pattern - I have been unsystematically investigating card styles for months now. I am awed by you folk that have been creating for years and years.
Anyway, you pull on both sides of the card for the wiper arm to lift your monkey (or whatever!), which the photo did not show very well. I also had to coach my son, rather impatiently yelling, “You pull! Just pull! No, not that way!” Which *may* have taken away some of the fun and surprise.
(Another surprise is that these comments don’t work like Facebook. No “likes” or replies, I guess.)
