This is for the May Fan Club Christmas challenge which can be found HERE
I have lived in the desert southwest more than 40 years now. In that time I think I've seen snow on Christmas Eve ONCE - and that was walking home at midnight from a friends house. All traces of snow were gone by morning. . . . Still, I do like to add a few flakes to my Christmas cards. The real star of my card is dressed in the requisite red trimmed in white fur! (Inspired by this month's movie selection)
I stamped my image on WC paper and painted, then die cut into an oval. I added some clear nail polish to the glasses for a more realistic look on the lenses. Overlaid on the embossed snowflakes and finished with a few die cut flakes just for fun.

Your Jolly Old St. Nick looks wonderful! I love the array of snowflakes. Where I live snow on Christmas Eve isn't a given either. December is often just brown and grey! Love your card!

Oh, what a big, jolly snowman. He is so cute. Love all the pretty snowflakes, too.
A few years ago we had snow on Christmas day. I wasn't happy because I couldn't go be with my family. Very sad.

Love the jolly snowman with the super glasses! I would not have thought to use nail polish. We get snow a lot and often around Christmas. I prefer it on paper.
This is gorgeous! The embossed background paired with the snowflake die cut is so striking. Your "star" is very handsome and colored beautifully! Fabulous!
