This week the Alphabet Challenge is all about sunshine and I have a trio of cards. Inspired by this week's beautiful color challenge colors (CC88, I made the background seen here.
First, I colored white paper with my three distress ink colors using the ink smooshing technique. Then I used three different stencils to add a stencil pattern in the same ink color over top for some texture. Next, I taped all three panels together along with a pattern I had created, and cut them apart into strips keeping them in order. Last, I created three different backgrounds just alternating the three colors of strips adhering them to thin copy paper to get this background. I trimmed the edges and matted each background with a black mat and then it was just finishing up the card.
For this panel, I also dry embossed it with a dot pattern ef. I die cut an oval for this one, added it over the place where my strips met, cut off the edge. I added this beautiful gifted bird die cut which goes with today's Free For All challenge and some sequins and added that to a Calypso Coral card base to complete the card. The sentiment will go inside.
Thanks for the fun challenges and thanks for looking!

Wow! Such a wonderful look with your stencil and embossed rays! Your technique seems to have enhanced the distress ink splatter (which I love). Just beautiful!

Your stencilling looks great on these colorful strips! Love how you used the black mat to really make them all stand out. The bird is a pretty one as well!
