Angie gave us a very informative video this week. How not to muddy our colors. Out of all the challenges so far, this was the most difficult. Over working a painting is my curse, and she showed us how not to do it. Easier said than done. I have a problem with bare trees. They look like they have gone through a forest fire or a hurricane. I stippled some leaves on them to make them look better. Come join us this week and show us your landscape. She does have some very good tips. TFL

A lot of the trees around here are still bare and not making buds quite yet so, I totally get what you mean. I love that you added trees in both sides of the valley to this scene too Linda
Linda, this is gorgeous! I think my son would approve of your background green more than mine. I like that you added the grasses in the foreground. I forgot about the grasses until the end so I just splattered. Your trees look wonderful. Your painting is beautiful!

Those fully leafed trees are beautiful, and I am giggling at your reference to "forest fire trees" . . . . I have the opposite problem - I like the bare trees I paint but when I try to add leaves - well- gag me with a spoon!
I share your "curse" my friend, but you did a super job of just letting it be today.

Had to giggle at your description of creating bare trees. But to my non-watercoloring eyes, this is a beauty reminding me of the newly sprouting wheat fields back home! (With the bonus of a Ukrainian inspired sky!)
