A big congrats to Lynn, the newest Featured Stamper (FS78! She has wonderful gallery full of scrap book pages & I chose THIS as the base for my card. I used a similar layout & similar colors, but used different images & dies, & made mine a bird birthday card.
For my card, I bartered a piece of white card stock w/ the Distress inks, going from light at the top to dark at the bottom. After heat setting, I placed it in my Misti & stamped the bird bg w/ the Versaclair ink then clear embossed it. I used a bit of water to remove a little ink on the birds, so they would show up a little better. I wanted a little sparkle, so I spritzed it w/ a clear shimmer spray before die cutting it w/ the scalloped mimi slimline die. It was a little too long so I trimmed off the top & bottom a tiny bit. The bird was stamped, colored & die cut, w/ a couple of extra blank birds behind it to elevate it a bit. The Birthday part of the greeting was die cut out of thick white card that I sponged on the same colors I used in the bg. Some Versamark was rubbed over it then it was clear embossed twice to give it a shiny, enameled look. A few clear dew drops were added to the bg. A little clear Wink of Stella was added to the bird's tail feathers.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ Copic colors & more pics: The Write Stuff

Julie, this is a beautiful interpretation of Lynn's layout and theme. I love how you layered the colors over the stamped background and that bird is so fun.

Great colors, Julie. What a fun background and bird too. Fab birthday card! I am impressed with how that page inspired you. Hugz
