The daughter of a friend had last weekend off after working on a long term school activity every week for months, and was crushed to find out that instead of a sleepover with her friends, she had to isolate due to a Covid exposure at school. I sent a card to cheer her up and give her some happy mail.
Her main interests are theater and Broadway shows, and I didnât really have any stamps that reflect those. but she is a redhead, and I came across this drawing in the Jane Davenport paper pad that seemed perfect. I love an excuse to use the drawing bits of that pad too, since mostly I cut around them and only use the backgrounds.
I cut the paper to the size of a card front and attached, then finished with a Tim Holtz sentiment that echoes a loins from Hamilton, one of her favorite shows, and finished with two sparkly dots that coordinated with the colors. Super quick and easy, and friend reports that she was surprised and happy to get the card!
USEIT2022- the Davenport paper and a Tim Holtz sentiment stickers have been in my stash for a couple of years.

You are so thoughtful, Colleen. How sweet that you found a redhead in your stash pile to replicate your friend's daughter's hair. Hopefully, she is doing better~
