There is always hope in a garden so the first even slightly warm day will find me working in my yard and digging in the dirt -
Anyhow, I pulled out a 30-year-old stamp that has been inked once because the right side just turns into a black glob. Today I inked around that area then hand drew the rest of the picture with a black sharpie, colored with prismacolor pencils and matted with black cardstock. BTW - the woman is the 74 year old me that has climbed up a ladder to prune my tree . . . .
Next, I made some homemade stencil paste (cornstarch, white glue & white acrylic paint) tinted some with peal-ex powders and applied over a leaf stencil for my bg. Finished with a simple sentiment die cut to an oval.

WOW I love the image here and am glad you were able to rescue it by adding your own drawing. So cool....and the homemade paste is fab...good idea. If you're going to trim that tree this year on your ladder....be careful!

That's a wonderful stamp, and your rescue looks great. I'm looking forward to gardening too (in fact, I spent a good deal of time over the weekend looking at plant sellers websites).

Linda! I hope you don't climb ladders without someone else around just in case. My dad, even he was a sprightly 65, fell off the second rung and cracked three ribs.
What a beautiful stamp. I can see why you would have kept it, despite the right side not stamping well. The dogwood is amazing, looks 3D. Super work with your DIY stencil paste.

This is a gorgeous collage! I love the vintage lady picking fruit, and the dragonfly next to her -- this is a beautifully created card!
