In the spirit of often submitting a second CC card, I've combined it with today's challenges (WCW and SC) and the ABC16-I is for insect. I wasn't going to include that but as I'm rummaging for some sequins, I discovered the SU lady bug trinkets, never used, thought to myself, 'PERFECT!'
I decided to use the colors to paint leaves. Linda provided the part 2 video from last week. Excellent video! She knows how to teach. I used the reinkers for rich razzleberry, daffodil delight and pacific point. They blend well because they're basically primary colors. So I purposely mixed the colors a bit, letting one bleed into the next. My leaves turned out rather skinny because I resisted using too much pressure on the brush. It was a challenge figuring out how much water to paint ratio to use (I did use a damp brush to remove some color here and there). I will keep practicing so I can get fatter leaves. I really enjoyed combining these challenges.
As far as the sketch goes, the ladybugs sort of represent where the stars are in the sketch.

Very colorful and such pretty ones, also. I like what you did with the tutorial...good job with the leaves. Plus, I like those little ladybugs.

Oh, wow! I love that you painted the colors in the CC colors! Absolutely stunning! I agree, I had trouble at times with how much water to use. Your leaves look fabulous and I love the lady bugs. So fun to add watercolor lines to your design.

Like how you painted with your artistic style, but still kept the integrity of the technique. Beautiful stroke work with the vibrant colors. Thanks for joining us this week.
