Finally another chance to spend a wee bit of time in the Rubber Room. I am trying to restock the cards for the card ministry I do for our church. The box is very low on sympathy cards so the WT878 challenge is very timely. Used a card from Featured Stamper leslielarkin's gallery as my inspiration: Wild Roses by leslielarkin at Splitcoaststampers
I loved her colour combo. I changed the orientation of the card, stamped the bg on white cardstock, die cut a sentiment shape and fussy cut the top layer which was sponged with Strawberry Slush ink to match the bg panel. Will create a few more like this as time allows.
Before I made this card, I converted the Floral bg stamp from wood-mounted to foam-mounted - wish I'd done that years ago. Sure does make stamping a bg image less frustrating when you can simply re-ink the stamp and 'touch up' any sections that didn't ink completely. I've already done this for four more bg stamps in my collection.
(I've probably had that spool of ribbon for about 10 years, the Floral bg hasn't been inked up for a loooong time and I'm not sure when I last used those dies so I figure this also fits the USEIT2022 challenge.)
FS779 = leslielarkin
WT878 = Sympathy card
USEIT2022 = Use what's already in the Rubber Room!

Beautiful CASE. I knew which card you picked as soon as I saw this beauty. This color combo does make a striking and lovely card suitable for many occasions, But it's that gorgeous bg stamp that makes this card and I bet you could use this layout in many color combos to fill your card box. I'm just sorry you are in need of sympathy cards. Sad times. And, I couldn't agree more about being able to use the Misti on a big bg stamp -- GAME CHANGER! Wonderful card.

Beautiful case. Love the big background stamped panel with the ribbon & sentiment over it. As Debbie said, this idea could be done in many colors for your card supply. Looks great in the red and black/white. TFS

I have that background stamp and you've inspired me to pull it out and use it once again! What a truly lovely card you've created .... and the die you used for your sentiment is just gorgeous!

Your background stamp is gorgeous. At first glance, I was sure it was paper. Taking it off the wood, I am sure made a huge difference. Sorry about your cold weather. We have had a few very
cold days, too, and even some snow. To answer your question about my knee, I'm improving but doctor said it may take a year to be normal again. Ugh Anyway, your card is a beauty.

What a beautiful background stamp. The decorative sentiment is a good pairing with it, and the ribbon is gorgeous. Always love me some polka dot ribbon.

What a Beauty your bg is, Heather! Simple and yet so pretty and just what you need for this type of card. It shows how caring you are.
I actually have this bg stamp. I bought a couple of huge boxes full of SU stuff for 50.00 a couple years ago and haven't gotten around to using everything. Now I want to use it seeing how beautiful it looks. Thanks for the inspiration!
