I used an old print made on my gelli plate as a bg.
You may wonder what this has to do with our theme today of "smiles".
I have loved paper dolls all my life. Especially antique ones. This series of Dolly Dingle appeared in 1913, and was created by Grace Drayton who was famous for drawing the Campbell Kids. I happen to really adore this little boy Billie, a friend of Dolly's.
He has a wonderful smile, and in his adorable sailor suit, he really makes me smile.
This will go in my stash to be sent later to our son Paul, who was in the Army for five years. I think it will make him smile too. Inside I will be thanking him for his service to our Country.

I have always loved paper dolls too. This is a wonderful vintage image and sure to bring smiles. I am sure your son will love this.
