I began by spritzing the pages in the Dylusions Creative Journal with water and applied a wash of Old Paper and Iced Spruce Distress Paints. I used a mini round blending tool to add a mix of Old Paper, Iced Spruce and Rustic Wilderness Distress Paints on to the tree image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Winter Watercolor 2 and holding the stamp in my hand, stamped on to the page. I added a drop of Walnut Stain to the paint on my craft mat, mixed and applied randomly over the background using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Deco Arch Layering Stencil and a mini round blending tool. I tapped Rustic Wilderness Distress Paint on to the script image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Jolly Santa and stamped randomly over the background.
I fussy cut the Santa image from one of the Simple Stories Vintage Rustic Christmas papers and fixed to the page with Distress Collage Medium.
I added the poinsettia and leaves from Simple Stories Rustic Vintage Christmas Woodland Bits and Pieces on the other page, fussy cut the Santa Claus word image from the same paper and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I applied Distress Snowfall Grit Paste through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Snowflakes Layering Stencil and set aside to dry. I applied a coat of Distress College Medium Matte over the pages and applied Picket Fence Distress Crayon over the textured snowflakes, smoothing it out with my fingers.
I added clippings stickers from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Sticker Book and created light shadows around the stickers, Santa and the poinsettia/leaves using a Walnut Stain Distress Crayon and blended it out with my fingers.
