It's my pleasure to be your hostess this and I hope I have some fun colors for you! Dessert this week is anything goes - choose your own! I took my inspiration for the colors from a pack of patterned paper, even though my paper doesn't use all four colors, just the Freesia.
I had several ideas about how to approach these colors and I knew I wanted to do a winter themed card. When I found this image in my SB stash I KNEW it had to be her! I've not colored her before and she was a ton of fun to color. After all, a fairy can be anything you want her to be.
I did several quick flat colorings to decide hair color vs dress etc. I asked my husband what he thought and he asked if she was supposed to be scary. When I said "no", he said "definitely the one with the green hair." Apparently Mist Moonlight hair is scary!
I colored her base with Stampin' Blends and Copic to color match. Both greens are used to color her hair. After I was pleased with the marker base layer, I added the Prismacolor pencils to enhance the details.
Finally, for my dessert I thought "sparkle" so I used Wink of Stella on her skirt and wand, then applied some sequins.
I hope that you will join us in the challenge this week!

I love your story, Jeanne! In my book, green hair is just as scary as blue, but I actually don't find her scary at all. She's definitely all about the sugarplums. I love the way you colored her with alcohol markers and colored pencil on top. You got great color gradation with that technique!

Jeanne your lil' fairy is adorable with her green hair! However, these days fairies aren't the only ones with green and blue hair, lol! Your coloring is amazing! Totally cute!!! Thanks for the fun challenge this week.
